Introduction
This past summer I had a very unique opportunity— to collaborate with a designer on the set and photography for his NYFW show. I was put in touch with Jack Fullerton, the designer of the brand Of—Nothing, because he needed help with the construction of his show’s set. A month later (and many trips in his Subaru Outback to Lowe’s and the lumberyard) the show went smoothly and the portal we built thankfully didn’t collapse on any of the models.

Building the Set
Jack’s vision for the set was based on the 2005 art exhibition The Gates in Central Park by artists Christo Yavacheff and Jeanne-Claude. The idea was to have a square portal, with offset curtains made from one of his textiles for the models to walk through onto wood pedestals.

Documenting the Show
There was already a primary photographer documenting the show and shooting a look-book on digital, so I enjoyed the lack of pressure and shot behind-the-scenes and details on film. I had a Pentax KM 50mm loaded with Kodak Tri-X, and a Leica M3 28mm loaded with Portra 800.
