2024 Film Photography Update
In 2023, before I went back to Italy for a second time, I decided that I wanted to capture the trip on film. I bought a Pentax KM on Ebay from Japan, and so began my first year on film. Over the past year and a half I’ve picked up a couple more cameras and lenses: a medium-format Mamiya RB-67 and a Leica M3 rangefinder. I’ve had a lot of fun documenting my travel and shooting a bit of street in New York.
After paying a lab to develop and scan my initial rolls from Italy, I decided to start scanning my film at home. I purchased a setup from Valoi with a Fujifilm XT3 mirrorless camera. I haven’t started developing at home due to space constraints, but it’s an inevitability. I’d also like to bulk load film myself, but the availability of bulk stocks is approaching zero.
